Michael A Riskin | CPA/PFS, CFP®, MST

Vice President | Treasurer | Partner

Since 1896, when Michael’s Great Grandfather became the first Jewish settler in Miami, Michael and his family have been living and serving Floridians for 5 generations.  Michael is a husband to Nyrka, a Father to Anya, and a Dog Father to Coco.  Michael spends most of his weekends coaching his daughter’s soccer teams or watching his daughter’s dance performances.  He can even be spotted participating in the dance performances from time to time.  On his ‘off’ days, Michael can be found somewhere in Florida playing golf or participating in triathlons.

Michael’s interest in pursuing finance and accounting started with an interest in working for the FBI as a Special Agent in their white collar crimes unit.  After years of experience at a large public accounting firm, Michael realized that his real passion was in personal financial planning.  When he got his first job, he remembers his Dad telling him “10% in the bank, always put 10% in the bank!”.  Michael has a true passion to help others and loves being able to utilize his knowledge and expertise with financial planning to help his clients save money, build wealth and assist clients in protecting their families and doing the right things with their finances.

Michael received his degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and earned his Masters in Taxation from Florida International University.  Michael is a Florida CPA as well as a CFP® and has achieved the Personal Financial Specialist designation through the AICPA.  Michael’s passion for education and kids is also reflected in his community service.  A graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXIX, Michael has served or is currently serving on the Boards at All Saints Academy, Florida Southern Masters of Accountancy Program, Florida Southern Fraud Conference, Kiwanis Club of Lakeland, Campfire Sunshine Central Florida, AMI Kids, EMERGE Serves, Estate Planning Council of Polk County, FICPA – Polk County Chapter, and Temple Emanuel.  At the age of 24, Michael began serving as a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Greater Miami.  He is still close friends and a mentor with his ‘little brother’ two decades later.
