Mike joined CPS in 2009.

He believes strongly in the power of financial planning to change peoples’ lives. His focus is to help clients make the best possible financial decisions. Mike appreciates the power of being a fiduciary advisor and the responsibility of always putting the client’s interests first.

He is a Vice President and an owner of CPS Investment Advisors, and also serves as the firm’s Treasurer. Mike is a frequent speaker and writer on tax and financial planning topics and is a regular contributor to articles in the Lakeland Ledger.

Mike received his Masters of Science in Taxation from Florida International University and his Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. With over nineteen years of experience in tax and financial planning, including eight years at a regional CPA firm and five years as a division controller at a large manufacturing company, Mike brings a wealth of experience to the firm’s clients.

He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida, and has earned the Personal Financial Specialist credential granted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is also a Certified Financial Planner™.

Mike is a Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Polk County and serves on the Board of Directors for the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland. He is a Key Club Sponsor for Lakeland High School, Past President of Temple Emanuel in Lakeland, Contributing Member to the FICPA Financial Literacy Program, a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXIX and an Advisory Board Member for the Institute for Accounting Excellence at Florida Southern College.
